Which Madonna song was better: "Erotica" or "Justify My Love"?

Tbh both are about equal in terms of which song is better. Maybe give the slighest of edge to erotica but I still gonna vote for "both in equal measures" measures.

It we talk about the song alone, they both were different in their own way. So it's hard to actually choose.

However, if you talk about the whole concept, it's definitely Justify My Love. Not only that it came out first, the storyline and music video overall was WAY better than Erotica's (the latter is one of the worst from Madonna if anything and especially taking in consideration at the time it came out). Justify was also considering one of the most important moments in pop culture. It did extremely well in the charts and thanks to it single videos were invented. And again, the video is pure art. It was like the first time certain aspects of the LGBT were displayed like that.

So yes, Justify My Love wins over Erotica. I also feel that Lenny Kravits co-writing the songs makes the song more interesting.

Erotica was also banned.

Listen, JML is one of the greatest moments in pop culture. That video was art. The Sex book is considered pure art too these days despite all the backlash it got. The song was #1 in Billboard (when having a #1 so was actually quite difficult).
