Argentines are more italian than uruguayans. Just check both countries old census

Italians were always a bigger % of the argentinean population (even when we are much more populated).

If we check surnames Rossi is the most common italian surname. According to forebears.com it is more frequent in Argentina than in Uruguay (1:1,240 vs 1:1,333)

Russo is the second most common italian surname. According to forebears.com it is also more frequent in Argentina than in Uruguay (1:2,347 vs 1:3,408)

Argentina as whole is more italian than Uruguay, even with their many mestizo provinces/areas like Salta and Jujuy. The Pampa Provinces like Rosario, Cordoba, Buenos Aires or even Mendonza were so heavily italianized that its totally changed Argentina's balance.

If we consider only white argentines, they are even more italian, probably a bit over half of italian blood.

    Hola!!!!!!
    Hey!!! Me hicieron emocionar!!!
