Brazil is not richer, both countries have a similar GDP per capita (PPP). Colombia is becoming richer in the long run, though. Salaries are slightly lower in Brazil, too.

Either way, Brazilian main cities are far in the south and Colombians can't be arsed to go there.

This thread was not meant to strike a nerve. Couldn't care less. I was really wondering why Greece is seemingly better off than its neighbours.

As of 2012,Albanian migrantsconstitute some 55–60% or more of the immigrant population. More recent immigrant groups, from the mid-1990s on, consist of Asian nationalities—especiallyPakistaniandBangladeshi—wi th more recent political asylum and/or illegal migration flows throughTurkeyofAfghans,Iraqis,Somaliand others. Since the 1990s, increases in such flows have led to the emergence of immigration as an increasingly important political issue in Greece.

As you can see Albanians, Bulgarians, Ukrainians and Russians are the first in this chart

Look at a map. Population. Recent history.

Greece was the western outpost of the east. It was ruled by Germanic royals. Money was splashed at them.

I don't know if it happens or not but let's say it does, why would somebody give a fak about it or why would it be something negative?

They also hosted the Olympics. It's too much coincidence, really. Greece has been blessed with aid and riches from Western Europe. Do you think neighbouring countries will catch up soon?

    Greece GDP PPP: 30,000.
    Bulgaria GDP PPP: 24,000.

That's one of their neighbours. And as you see, they are not that far apart.

Turkey is also one of Greece's neighbours, and Turkey has a GDP PPP of 28,000 which is even closer.

As for my people, there are barely any who work or live in Greece, mostly married women in Greece. Macedonians used to work in Greece, mainly in the resorts before the crisis during the summer period. Other than that, the Greeks are not much richer, especially not those from the north who are flooding my home country and Bulgaria for shopping, dentists, etc. because it's much cheaper than Greece. They also like to spend their money in the numerous casino's in Macedonia.
Mostly the flow of money is two way, while the Greeks spend their money in my country, we spend ours in their during the summer for holidays
well, it is much richer than all. And also higher by every index. As for northern Greece, in every country there are differences between regions, still northern Greece is significantly richer than your country's richest part

you are also a little outdated, Greece exited the program one year ago, the economy is getting more and more healthy

Greece is richer DESPITE the fact it spends more than any other country in Europe for its defence, to defend itself from the mafia-eastern cuntry called Turkcuntistan.

Skopjans and Albanians don't spend a penny for their defence, and in fact get economic aid from Turkey being satellites of Turkey. If faced no threat from the Turkcunts Greece would have been much richer.

Now Albania agreed with Turkey to take 30,000 Afgans and Idilb terrorists and place them among the Greek minority of Northern Epirus. Nothing can stop those Afgans from storming into Greece when Turkey signals them to.

Anyway I have faith in Greece. It is going to get a lot richer in the not so distant future, as the country sits on massive natural gas reserves worth 30 trillion, of which 20% will go to the Greek state.
