Afghanistan is a primitive and repressive society (that said, the Khyber Pass has been such a fascinating crossroads between cultures, since for a long time it was the main way Europeans, Middle Easterners and Asians could all trade with each other). Vietnam, on the other hand I have a lot of respect for - as poor as they were, they nevertheless were able to fight off the Chinese, the French, the Americans and the Khmer Rouge.

You dont understand that it is not about sympathy or respect but the factual reality of the situation. I dont give a shit about neither of them. Who ever succeeds in his goal is right, thats what I say.
