Default Italy and W.Balkans is much closer than people Think

Both Italians and Balkaners have been mixed with their conquerors.

Northern Italians are basically Italic + Germanic (modelled) while W. Balkaners are Italic + Slavic (modelled)

While this is interesting, relations between Italians and W. Balkan people are basically non-existent and they treat each other as two completely Alien nations.

Destruction of Western Roman Empire by Germans and Slavic invasions have been really devastating for Hellenism as unifying force in the Western Mediterranean.

I said earlier my great-grandfather (father of my paternal grandmother) knew Italian language, and in WW2 he was a translator in the comunication between Dinara Division Chetniks and local Serbian peasants with Italians in Dalmatian hinterland https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dinara_Division

Interesting is my great-grandfather was R1b-U152, and that haplogroup is Roman heritage in Balkan. When I discovered that it was clear to my his afinity towards the Italian language and cooperation with Italians.
He migrated to England after WW2 (and lived there until the end of his life). Later some my close cousins moved to England due to him.

When we talk about things like that they think like we are "wannabe Italians" or something like that. Modern People don't know anything about history. Nihilist societies are the epitome of backwardness.

Before Slavic invasions people from Croatia, Bosnia... looked very similar to Northern Italians genetically

Paternal line of my grandmother came from Ugarci vlachs (R1b-U152), originally from Ljubinje area in Herzegovina. In 16th century from Ljubinje they moved to the Glamoč area, and in late 17th century from Glamoč moved to Dalmatia.

    Yeah indeed
The Talmud tells us that the only language the Torah could be translated into elegantly is Greek.

Or he was a Vlach and Romanian is basically drunk Italian. It doesn't take a lot of effort to learn it. Romanian seasonal workers don't even take Italian classes prior to flying to Italy or Spain.
