Hi everyone! I hope you are staying safe and are as happy as can be considering the circumstances. I had a question I would like to ask everyone.
Have any of you experienced flak from relatives for dating someone of a different race?

Fortunately, my parents and my mom's side of the family are open-minded about interracial dating, and there have been a lot of instances of interracial marriage on my mom's side of the family, but my dad's family is not as open-minded. I have dated people of many races, and I never base how happy I am in a relationship off of the crap my dad's family says, but it is still annoying to listen to.

I've only dated one guy who was my race. Every other guy has been of a different race.
I wouldn't say I prefer one over the other based on race, but based on how they've treated me during our relationship.

I feel the same way—I just wish my Dad's family did.

And I wouldn't say I have a favorite race, but my boyfriends who have treated me with the most respect and the ones I had the most fun with were Latin American or East Asian.

Luckily my mom doesn't mind much, but she just has something against black people idk why.

And against Muslim men bc she's just scared they would force me to convert and cover up and etc.

I've never had and Indian boyfriend, but I went on a few dates with an Indian guy before he moved away. He was very nice and nothing but polite.
