I would be really grateful if everyone stopped trying to assume things about me and my family.

My parents were lovely and my childhood wasn't perfect bc most aren't. But it was good enough.

I certainly turned out better than people with super strict parents or with super liberal parents. Mine were moderate and I'm grateful for that.

And I don't have any issues. I just think it's stupid to try to control what other people do with their life.

I wouldn't call an Irish/French mix a mutt though. They are both Western European even if the Irish are a bit drifted. I wouldn't call an Irish/Polish mix a mutt either even though the Poles are Eastern Europeans (or maybe they are more Central/Eastern) in g25 Irish are closer to Poles than they are to Spanish regions for example. It's all relative really. I suppose Hungarians and Croatians are closer to Central Europeans and Romanians/Bulgarians are more Southeast Europeans but I don't think in all honesty that European mixes are truly mutts. Culturally there are differences but with the examples you posted Irish and French are Western Europeans and Hungarians and Bulgarians are Eastern Europeans.

The best thing a decent parent could've done was disown her and never speak to her again like this one.





Honestly, it would at least be funny. Having your daughter turn out to be a coalburner would ALMOST be worth it just to see her face when you tell her that you no longer love her, she will get no money from your will, she will no longer be invited to family events, and when the turd impregnates her and runs away, she will be all on her own lel.

Would you also approve of the same action if she dated a Canadians Native instead of a black(Cree or Blackfoot etc)?

You don't live in a vacuum, though, and would it really be so great to be in a relationship with someone half your family disapproves of, getting frequent stares in public when together, or bringing kids into the world that will face prejudice and discrimination/racism from their peers in all likelihood, and who will struggle in finding their identity, being of mixed origins? All things to think about.

1. I could easily dismiss my father's side of the family. I was much closer to my mother's side, anyway.
2. I live in a very mixed state. I don't have to worry about frequent stares, even if that did bother me.
3. I'm friends with many mixed-race people, and they know exactly who they are. Of course not every mixed-race person knows who they are, but that doesn't mean every mixed person struggles to find their identity.

Nope—being gay is perfectly fine. Just because your religion doesn't approve of it doesn't mean that it's not ok.
And the "difficult childhood" stereotype doesn't always apply, and should really be discarded. There are many heterosexual people who had difficult childhoods.
