What is the bigger factor in population density: industrialisation or topography? On the one hand in Europe (the link is much more tenuous elsewhere) it is quite clear that the most densely-populated countries are those that industrialised first: the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany. On the other hand, the Indian Subcontinent is probably the most densely-populated region of Earth, in spite of its severe poverty, so in part it must be explained by its relative lack of rainforests and deserts, and the fact that mountains only really appear in India and Pakistan's border regions with China and each other.

about 60% of Pakistan's population live along GT road that connects Lahore to Peshawar and than Fata, this 400 km belt is one of largest concentration of humanity , the reason is that , this road is life line of industry and agriculture of most non coastal pakistan

other demographic chunk is coastal city of karachi , which has population of ~ 20 Million , the city was developed after independece from british rule in 1947 when it saw the influx of educated indian muslim elite that devloped the economy of city specially gujarati muslims, later people from all around the country migrated and made it a true multi ethnic city.

No its not where most population centers are ,this hindukush barrier stuff is blown out of proportion by afghans and Indians to disconnect pashtuns from rest of pak.

The Cibao in the DR is the most populated region with 5.2 million out of 10.6. The second most is Santo Domingo with about 3 million.

The rest of the population live in the Soutwest/South and the East so these regions are not that populated in comparison though the East has caught up in the latter decades.
