I think climate, diet, and wealth are the reasons for the West Coast and maybe Florida. In the northeast, it's probably education, wealth and good state healthy care. Utah has Mormons that don't drink or smoke, Colorado is healthy/outdoorsy, and Minnesota is Sweden. Hawaii seems the most obvious given the large Japanese population

Cali is half mexican. Hispanic americans on avarage live longer than do whites (asian-americans live the longest).

My life up until now in my late 20s has been great. My 30s should be great too. 40s will probably be not great, not terrible. 50s and 60s are a question mark.

Pretty much everyone lives longer in Cali compared to their counterparts in other states. For example, as of 2018 numbers the average white person in Cali lives to be 80.7 years old (or 81.3 in Hawaii) while the average white person in West Virginia lives to be 74.8. These are cultural differences that transcend race to some degree although I'm sure it doesn't hurt that a place like Hawaii has lots of people of Japanese ancestry. I believe diet is a big part of it.

hell yeah. colorado is healthier than all surrounding states. We have a huge hiking culture here. Props to california though the most. highest population in the US and also among the healthiest. y'all got beaches and mountains there.

It's not just about race. Colorado has similar racial demographics to surrounding states yet have a longer life expectancy due to an outdoor/hiking culture plus good diet.
