Sweden (society) can not make tough decisions. We have seen that with immigration matters and now with this. History (avoiding both WWI and WWII) can be seen behind of all this. Still the discussion (afterwards) will be hard here if Sweden has had much more body bags vs Denmark, Norway or Finland.

To be fair ... epidemic is 1 - 2 weeks ahead of Finland here.

Even so, if the entire Swedish population were infected, thousands of young people could die according to statistics, but in this case it would be more because many people would not receive the necessary care due to the collapse of services.

it sounds like a win-win for those who don't die to the virus: you won't pay many years of retirement cost from the public tax money for the elderly that don't contribute anymore to country budget anyway. and you also wipe out some unfit weak ill people, some maybe already costing the public budget money for different diseases and conditions.

also, in Sweden's case, they also make room for more Somali and other immigrants this way. and also get rid of some old conservative natives too, maybe.
