I always kinda put you in a catagory like me and Daco Celtic, we end up at a mid-point that is not really representative of our ancestry. The question for you is more difficult because of how little you know of you background, do you decend primarily from 2, 3, 4 recent ancestral populations/ethnicities? Very curious about you 23andMe, I don't remember you posting that before.

Okay, I see your 23andMe now, hmmm. Lemme think about this, and reconsider your G25 results, maybe I can add something to your investigation..

Have you ever been plotted on a PCA? I'm guessing you would be near Austria or Hungry based on the results you posted. It's the midpoint thing, as Mr. G pointed out.

Your paternal line stems from a branch of R-M420 called R-M512. Today, the men who share your haplogroup are most common in Eastern Europe, Russia and Ukraine. The lineage is also quite common in Poland, but decreases in frequency toward the Mediterranean countries. Farther to the west, about one-third of Norwegian men and a quarter of men from the far northern British Isles carry R-M512.

You share a paternal lineage with "Mal'Ta Boy," who lived 24,000 years ago in Siberia

Buried with a variety of trinkets including an ivory crown and stone-hewn figurines, “Mal'Ta Boy” was a freckled three-year-old who lived 24,000 years ago near Lake Baikal in Siberia.

I'd like to see your scaled G25 using just 3 populations from the Modern averages; English, Italian, and Hungarian. I think those 3 offer a reasonable and realistic background for you. So 2 mostly British grandparents, one Italian, one Hungarian.

Hmmm, not quite right for your ancestry based on your 23andMe:

    Target: SI_scaled
    Distance: 1.9877% / 0.01987651 | ADC: 0.25x
    45.6 Hungarian
    25.8 English_Cornwall
    22.2 Italian_Liguria
    6.4 Italian_Jew

    Target: SI_scaled
    Distance: 1.9564% / 0.01956404
    43.2 Hungarian
    32.2 English_Cornwall
    13.0 Italian_Jew
    11.6 Italian_Liguria

Not sure man, but I suggest to play around with using select populations, see what you can come up with.

Here I can model you as one Italian and one Polish grandparent. And almost 2 Engish:

    Target: SI_scaled
    Distance: 2.1349% / 0.02134933 | ADC: 0.25x
    41.8 English_Cornwall
    30.8 Italian_Abruzzo
    27.2 Polish
    0.2 German

It's weird. A family with zero family tree. It's very sad, you don't even know your origins.
