Are you saying though that there are virtually no rich or affluent Black (or rather, heavily Black-admixed) Dominicans? That is surely a gross exaggeration too.

The vast majority of our politicians are pardo and many are black looking. Our TV is full of blacks as well.

Some of the new rich like sportmen and politicians are black looking. But they aren't part of the élite. The élite is the folks with most money and influence/power.

Another thing to bare in mind is that (contrary to popular belief, including in this forum) Blacks marry Whites at much greater rates than most other non-white races do. I'd even say that people who are 40%+ Amerindian are often more resistant and hostile to Whites than are people who are 40%+ Black. Therefore, I would think DR (and PR and Cuba) to be more racially-integrated than the likes of Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Guatemala.

The only other non-whites who marry Whites as much as Blacks do are Southeast Asians (principally Thais and Filipinos). By contrast, the 'brown' races - South Asians, MENAs, heavily Amerindian-admixed Latin Americans - tend to be rather more resistant.

Anyway, returning to topic, it is a close call, although maybe Colombians slightly more so because, as I said, they have more Caucasoid-shifted Mestizos and fewer Triracials than Venezuelans do.

There are many harnizoid and castizoid triracials in Venezuela too. That aside the sizable percentage (even if lower than in Colombia) of Venezuelan Caucasoid-shifted mestizos.
