Yeah, the whole thread is based on a comment Dacul once made which I found assuming so I'm just running with it.

All my grandma's meals were super meat heavy, almost lacking in veggies. Pretty much the exact opposite of how Californians eat. Regardless, my Grandpa lived to be 93 eating a lot of pork and grandma is still going.

compared to moldavians who eat a lot of vegetables and spices, transylvanians died is mostly based on meat and dairy. it is perhaps because they live in a mountainous area. there is a case studied by Ana Aslan of a 148 years old man who lived in Transylvania. He had a birth certificate and all. his mom lived 110 and his sister 102. he slept outside all his life and never wore shoes. At 120 years old he was carrying 10m long trunks from the woods.

My experience is that we were either coddled by parents with 24 degrees inside the house at all times, leading to 0 resistance whatsoever, or we are moderately resistant.

I am extremely cold tolerant, but I cannot stand heat in any way. I am extremely reluctant to visit Greece or Italy outside of winter and early spring because I would not be able to enjoy myself.

The most resistant to cold may be Czechs. At least some tourists who came to Armenia from the Czech Republic may go during the summer heat to the mountains where there is still winter and snow, drink a lot of brandy and bath in icy water and happily wallow in the snow.

That was my experience. My grandparents made super meat heavy meals, esp with pork. When I later ate at a friends house who was originally from Bucharest, I noticed the meals had more veggies and salads my grandmother never made. I suspect the Transylvanian diet isn't the healthiest but my grandpa lived to be 91 and my grandma is still alive.

They have "Ural low butt" which makes them more cold tolerant based on the Komintasavalta theory. https://www.theapricity.com/forum/sh...=1#post7271432

There's nothing wrong with high fat diets. Way healthier than processed sugary junk
