My ancestor served under Quantrill, Bloody Bill Anderson was the coolest though imo. The Kansans killed a bunch of women in a prison (they say it was an accident but they had a long history) and Bloody Bill Anderson went beast mode and left a bloody path of Yankees in his wake.

Honestly idk, there was tensions between the pro-union Kansas and pro-confederate Missouri before the war, a lot of it was because the Missourians were hard to defeat on the battlefield so they tried to strike at them any way they could. The same can be said for Sherman and his burning if Atlanta and other towns.

Balkanites didn't exist in the us back then, and Americans associated Greeks with southern Italians like most of the world does today, but you have the chance to show ignorance by associating Greece with balkanites judging by your own birthplace, when from every aspect (social, anthropological etc) there are important differences
