Actually, non-smiling in photos is east euro trait. I notice I never smile in my photos (nor Stears). I think it's part of western culture to smile in officials pics (photographer say ''cheers'')

Smiling for photo's wasn't always the norm in the West, I think it started in America and became the norm by the 60s.

I think it is bit dumb, and unnatural/fake. Just my opinion.

Danes, south Scandinavians and Frisians are more or less the same but Danes and Frisians tend to be slightly more southern. Early Germanic samples ranged from Norwegian-like to Danish/North German-like. Nordic Bronze Age samples from Sweden were closest to Danes and North Germans.
