Default McDonald's delights fans by revealing the recipe for Sausage & Egg McMuffin

McDonald's delights fans by revealing the recipe for Sausage & Egg McMuffin so they can make it at home after UK stores shut down due to coronavirus

McDonalds have shared their secret recipe for a Sausage and Egg McMuffin
It comes as people attempted to make breakfast favourite at home in lockdown
TikTok, Twitter and Instagram users have all shared their creations online

Taking to social media, hundreds of fast food fans have revealed they're desperate to get their hands on the McMuffin, with many attempting the creation themselves.

And while they can't get their hands on the real thing, McDonald's has put fans out of their misery by making the recipe public in an unprecedented step for the chain, which usually keeps its secrets tightly guarded.

In a recipe shared with FEMAIL, McDonald's revealed that all you need is an English muffin, 75g of sausage meat, two eggs and a slice of American cheese.

Tik Tok user Abbie, who goes by the username @tiktorkers, shared a video on herself making the meal at home, saying it was her favourite quarantine breakfast.

Taking to Twitter, hundreds have shared pictures of their attempt at the treat.

'Didn't think I'd miss Sausage & Egg McMuffin this much' one said.

I made my own McDonald's breakfast because I missed it so much' said another.

'First effort at replicating double sausage and egg McMuffin, not too shabby' added a third sharing a picture of their attempt.

'Just saw a sausage and egg McMuffin on my tl and a tear rolled down my face. McDonald's please open. Your drive thru at least, come on''

Others have taken to social media to share their creations of Big Macs, chicken nuggets and thinly cut fries.
