Why are people so bent on turning Peru into some Native American reservation, Jesus Christ this isn’t Sim Cities people. If Peru somehow ends up being a super rich industrial place in these people’s eyes it’s gonna end up looking like a Native American casino with Quechua/Andean style.

Wow strong views. That was not my impression in Mexico,but I guess Peru is different.But Amerind is half of the population, so how does that work?

I don't think its that clear cut, that's a prejudiced view. I know a bunch of Amerindians who worked hard, put in the time and the system rewarded them. They have their own apartments, put their kids in private school and paid their taxes, abide by the law much more than some white Peruvians would, who I'm sure if push comes to shove would not hesitate to pay for a coima if needed. Some people say they are "Pitucos de Cono" o "Los Reyes de la papa."

That would be Bolivia where the native American influence is very strong. I have many friends outside of Lima and they don't have an Amerindian culture. All of them are strict Catholics and speak perfect Spanish. If Peru becomes a wealthy country like Chile or slightly above it would be just like any large Latin American city cosmopolitan metropolis(Say Panama City, Miami..etc). My friend who lives California told me Lima reminded him of San Diego since ith as the Hispanic influences plus a bit of the high-tech Asian influence as well.

Ironically, there would be more European immigration because when the country is successful and safer it attracts more European immigrants. I seen videos of Russian and Eastern Europeans talking about their life in Peru. And safer for ex-pats(British and Americans)(like Colombia is now) to relocate to Peru. It would also have Latin American immigration as well as potential from Colombia, Argentina. Some friends who teach English told me they visit Peru since now they have introduced the CELTA English program and they feel Peru is opening itself up to the world. Hopefully, this thread continues.
