Most accurate display of European subregions

To me its the most accurate and I think for the vast majority of people.

I just wonder why it includes Azerbaijan.

Not accurate. Why are Baltics grouped with Scandinavians

Personally, mentality-wise - I think that, judging from Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory, the Dutch are far more Northern than we care to admit. Even with a strong welfare state, there is a strong tradition of fiscal restrained and the right combination between egalitarianism and meritocracy. It's just that the Swedes have abandoned those notions. Belgium (even Flanders) is much closer to France and the UK and Ireland can, culturally, be seen as rather separate and having been much more Americanised.

Besides that you are right, id personally include them to Eastern Europe, they were Communistic.

We are genetically almost indistinguishable from Frenchs and have Charlemagne and the Frankish Empire as foundation.

The rest seems accurate. Although I would exclude all of Caucasia from the map (you probably would disagree with it).

It's perhaps funny to note that judging from Hofstede's theory, the Netherlands is essentially a Scandinavian country while not located in Scandinavia.

True but the cultural attributes in Dutch culture clearly point more at Scandinavia. Perhaps we're very much on a cultural intersection.

It's natural that there are transitional regions. But you got to draw the line somwhere.

I don't agree with this map, Central Europe for example Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czechia, Poland, partly Croatia are clearly differents from the orthodox East Europe. South France, Dalmatia, Albania are all belong to Mediterranean World. Baltic states are not scandinavian etc...
