Default The Irish have been through so much.

You have a people who were ruled by the English for 800 years. Who have been a subject of many wars due to their Catholic faith. Who were tried to be denied their language and culture. Who went through any disease and famine, especially the one in the 1840s that shrank their population from 8,5 million to 5 million. That went through the the Troubles up until 1998.

Their entire history has been really, really tough. Yet, such a small people in numbers has produced a lot for humankind in all fields. One can think of Boyle and Wilde for example. And they number about 80-100 million globally.

What made the Irish suffer so much yet at the same time do wonders for humanity as a whole?

There is no way Irish number 80 mill to 100 mill globally. That's a very generous estimate and most likely includes people with miniscule Irish ancestry.

Irish did have a difficult history but so did many other European populations including the Russians.

While abortion is allowed now in Ireland I still think that figures will be one of the lowest in Europe. Ireland still has one of the lowest divorces rates in Europe.

The divorce rate in Ireland was the lowest in Europe in 2015 according to Eurostat figures. It showed less than one divorce occurred for every 1,000 people – 0.7 in every 1,000 to be exact.

Malta and Montenegro were the only other countries with less than one divorce for every 1,000 people – they came in at 0.8 and 0.9 respectively. The 2015 figures are the latest figures available for all countries and the most appropriate for comparison purposes.

It will be interesting to see the statistics for this when they are released. I also don't see mass immigration and replacement happening any time soon.

    Ethnic groups:

    Irish 82.2%, Irish travelers 0.7%, other white 9.5%, Asian 2.1%, black 1.4%, other 1.5%, unspecified 2.6% (2016 est.)
Definition: This entry provides an ordered listing of ethnic groups starting with the largest and normally includes the percent of total population.

The liberalism started recently, you will see the results of it.

Well, I go based on the Wikipedia page XD

But certainly, they number a total of over 50-60 million.

Anyone can edit Wikipedia and add whatever numbers they wish. Most of those statistics are just guesses and not factual. I can't even see 10 million fully ethnic Irish worldwide. Most of the people that say they are Irish in the diaspora are of mixed ethnicity and not fully ethnic Irish. 50-60 million would be people with a tiny connection to Ireland it's definitely not an accurate figure.

Divorce in Ireland was voted in by referendum in 1995 and legal from 1996 but Ireland still has a low divorce rate compared to other Europeans. I think their abortion rates will be low as well.

    1995 people were still catholic.

The current law changes reflect the individualism, atheism and hedonism you have reached.
