I don´t know if I misread the Samnium post about origins of Steppe components in Iberians, but I am agree more or less, if we accept that Visigoths have some influence in nowadays Iberian genetics, we must convene also in an little portion of Steppe could also come from Visigoth input. So if average Steppe in an iberian individual is 30%, only an 1.5% comes form Visigothics.
Quite insignificant percentage, but ...

They were absorbed into general population. Two of my father's four surnames are of Visigoth origin. His family is from Asturias. I believe some our "NW European" we scored in various genetic tests comes from them, although disentangling the Visigoth from other Germanic input (read as NW Europe) is probably impossible.

There is Germanic ancestry all over Southwestern Europe, and that includes Iberia. Anyone who says otherwise is clueless about genetics. It is about 10% in Iberia and Central Italy.
Now, that doesn't need to be entirely Visigothic, Franks were huge players in the reconquista.

They became assimilated by the locals and mixed with them.

Of course no. In fact they were assimilated into the celtiberian population and Spain is not a Germanic country despite they left all their blood here.
Xavi Alonso does not look Germanic and he is not even ethnically basque. Alonso is a Castilian surname.
Visigoths were assimilated by everybody, northerners, central and southerners, stop with your nonsensical theories. More even when the 100% of the southerners descend from northerners.
Franks played nothing in Reconquista. They did in the Repoblación (repopulation) but militarily they were testimonial, or less than that.
