If by mestizos, are included indomestizos so it's ok.
But properly mestizos 50/50 in Bolivia are far less than indomestizos and assimilated amerindians, especially in the west of the country.

So all this means: 20% pure Amerindian (no euro); 40% indo-mestizo, 28% mestizo (40+28=68); and white 5-10%?

How does that work? More Afro admixture? Darker indigenous groups?

Both and perhaps climatic / solar factors.
The truth is that when I was in Chile I lived with Peruvians and Bolivians in a hostel and to my surprise, the former used to be darker.

Is the white population in both about 5%?
I say Chinese are assimilate in Peru already and have mixed with Peruvians they have strong culinary influence. In terms of Arabs and Blacks, blacks are small minority 3.6% and somewhat of an influence in music and dancing.

mestizos in Peru account for 60%. Bolivia's mestizo population is supposedly 68%, but other sources say the country is heavily populated by Quecha and Aymara peoples. Both of these countries are the most heavily amerindian-influenced in South America without a doubt, but I would say that Bolivia in terms of culture and genetics is far more amerindian than Peru.
