I try to remain neutral regarding Franco. Neither talk good or bad about his regime for respect to my deceased maternal grandpa (father of my mom) who immigrated to Venezuela fleeing from Franco's regime.

It was and then he allowed for a more free market approach in the late 50s, which is what led to the 'Spanish Miracle' in the 1960s.

Reading some of the responses in this thread was humorous.

To an extent, but he was still no Thatcher/Reagan/Pinochet/Suharto.

A temporary miracle e.g. The 2008–2014 Spanish financial crisis etc..capitalist society is chaotic, anarchic, and riddled with contradictions. Ultimately, it is a system defined by the permanent struggle between the proletariat and the bourgeoisie over the means of production—a conflict which the workers are destined to win through uprising and revolution, eventually creating a new socialist or communist society defined by common ownership and an equal distribution of resources based on need.

Tell me: when was the last time you actually thought for yourself, rather than being a pseudo-intellectual quoting memes?

Almost no one works in factories anymore in the developed world, dude. Sam at Starbucks isn't going to revolt any time soon. Pam the waitress at Chili's isn't going to raise the flag of revolt. We live in a mostly service industry society now that gets our manufactured goods from less developed nations.

Not that that is entirely a good thing.
