I’ll start with me. 2018 was the best year for me cause my dream came true when I traveled to Western Europe and have been to wonderful countries such as Spain, France, Switzerland and Italy. It was the most humbling experience in my life to actually have a different perspective of the world, especially that of Europeans in general. I honestly hope one day I could go again. Anyways. I started off in Madrid, Spain for three days, I saw everything, parque de retiro, el Palacio Real, Plaza Mayor, Santiago Bernabeu estadio de Real Madrid. The people, the Spaniards, were very sweet, kind people and extremely polite and were very sociable and friendly. Some were crazy, like my host, but a kind soul.(His name was David.) Then we went to Donastia,(San Sebastian) and saw la concha and got soaked from the rain, lol. Then we reached north to the French SPANISH border. I remember at the French border, the border guards had to inspect us for contraband and stuff and we showed our Passports. I remember I got so nervous, I passed gas and the border patrol smelled it and left the bus. He was like” Ooooff, and said something in French and stormed out of our bus. I was nervous because I was excited I finally reached France and I’m a huge Francophile, I love France, and to finally be there was a surreal experience for me. I started to sing La Marseillaise,(yeah very cliche) which I know words to it (believe it or not). It was emotional! Anyways, we finally reached Bordeaux. And wow what a beautiful city with it’s medieval holiday gatherings in the streets where they have food and fun and everything. We left the next morning to châteaux in Centre-Val de Loire Château de Chambord. Breathtaking it was, we actually got inside and saw everything inside the chateau. Then we left for Paris but before we left, there were people in yellow vest burning streets and cars and I was like “OMG” are they going to mug us and burn our bus” but we got through and reached Paris that same night. In Paris we stayed at this hotel that had A view of the Stade De France and St. Denis on the outskirts of Paris. That same night we went to the subway and there I got nervous for my life because there was a shady element of people mostly from the MENA and Africa, and I wasn’t surprised knowing the Paris is an over rated city in all Europe. I’ll write part 2 later...
