Why is Portugal seen as Mediterranean country?

I was looking European Map and I've perceived Portugal isn't Mediterranean at all, look below there is no portuguese territories along Mediterranean Sea



Actually it is as Atlantic as UK, Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, etc

Our landspace is (partly) Mediterranean. We have olive trees, Mediterranean landscape, Mediterranean culture, similar music genres to Spain/Italy/Greece, Mediterranean gastronomy and we aren't Mediterranean?

I think Romance culture plays hard on that, cause Slovenia and Croatia aren't seen as mediterranean countries as Portugal does.
Genetically I think they are related to other Western Europeans, same as Spaniards..

Yeah, probably language also influences, but we could include language in culture.

Makes sense, but why countries like Slovenia aren't seen as mediterranean? I think there is a unknown misconception that I can't explain

I am just looking European map for 20 minutes and now I can even see a guy when looking at Portugal territory, is that normal?

Or better the mediterranean triad: Olive trees+wheat+wine.

And don´t forget also Quercus Ilex distribution . (encina/azinheira/leccio???/chene vert-yeuse???/ βαλανιδιά,-αριά???)

That must be the opinion of many people here about which countries are Mediterranean or not.
