FINLAND: I think all are seen as foreigners ... some just under positive lights, some others under negative lights.

SWEDEN: Other Scandinavians are seen as ''cousins'' .... some others under positive lights, some others under negative lights.

    In my country Israel.
Number 1 Italians , Greeks, Cypriots,
Number 2 Turkish (some kind of them), Spanish (some of them) and some French.
Number 3 Albanians can pass here and a few types of Bulgarians that looks like Ashkenazis.

The question is not about that though.

Swedes are seen as foreigners in Finland therefore despite their long presence and the fact that there are municipalities where Swedish is the main language spoken?

Many Greeks here say cypriots, but thats funny, since cypriots are not a separated ethnicity

Anyway, i would say noone. Technically no foreigner is ever not really seen as foreigner

Most of Greeks feel closer to south and central italians (since the last poll that i checked)

Others (in a weird way) consider spaniards more familiar

Either way neither of them has ever been seen as non-foreigner

I would say both. Culturally Uzbeks, Turkmens and Uyghurs are nearly the same, Kazakhs and Kirgiz are a bit different to Turks. The same with Northern Levant, mena people are generally different. Balkan muslims and Turks share an Ottoman culture, regardless of that we have very good relationships as people.

To the question: Germany: its complicated
Turkey: Balkan muslims/turks and west asian turkics

In Greece if you hang around with locals drink with them and tell a joke they like after one week or at most half of
a month you are not seen as a foreigner anymore
The Talmud tells us that the only language the Torah could be translated into elegantly is Greek.

I guess it depends how ''foreigner'' is seen now. My line might be tighter. ''Same'' as local people or not?

Yes, Swedes are not seen ''foreigners'' in Swedish speaking areas or places like Torneå, but I was more like talking about whole country. Finns knows well that they are not Scandinavians, no matter of long history or good relationships between countries.

It was actually Finnish Swede (Adolf Ivar Arwidsson ) who said the famous words:''Svenskar äro vi icke längre, ryssar vilja vi icke bli, låt oss alltså vara finnar" (= Swedes we are no longer, Russians we do not want to become, let us therefore be Finns)... at time of Finland was still autonomous Grand Duchy of Russia.
