Estonians are our brothers, have been from the beginning. Even when the Sovjet started to collapse Finland was the first country giving help, even though Finland made it secretly until the situation in Russia was over. It is annoying to find this kind of shittalk and besserwisserism.

In Britain's case, the Irish and to a lesser extent Australians and Kiwis aren't really seen as foreign. (Americans and Canadians, on the other hand, are more so).

In Colombia's case, possibly Panamanians and Ecuadoreans are seen as quasi-co-nationals. (In theory Venezuelans should be too, but there has been too much rivalry and bad blood for several decades now).

I probably already posted in this thread but I can't be bothered to go through it again. Traditionally in America protestant NorthWestern Europeans were or are not considered foreigners especially if raised in America so that goes for protestant Dutch, English, Scots-Irish, Scottish , Welsh , Norwegians , Danes etc...

Swedes are seen as foreigners in Finland therefore despite their long presence and the fact that there are municipalities where Swedish is the main language spoken?

I had 25 years a summer home in Finland-Swedish community and I saw nothing like this between neighbors. Sure some people have inferiority complexes and spread stupidity on forums.
