well depends how you define black race, in my opinion east indians are most likely closeley related with dravidians, so they are part of the dravidian race, but i have heard of many african people that live around india due to trade routes and such so i am not sure

If you mean negroid or australoid, then not really, other than potential trace ancestries. They could ultimately be mulattoes, but genetics doesn’t exactly have signposts pointing “hey these people are mullatoes!”
They’re definitely at least mostly caucasoid, even most of their languages & cultures are Indo-European.
I think they’re typically considered “Asians” in America. They’d definitely be considered as “persons of color” in America at least I think, though not sure whether that term is limited to negroes.
If you mean skin color, most of them are light to medium brown, though I’ve seen near coal black before, though I don’t think that’s normal for them, & those few people I saw probably spent most of their life under the sun. I’m curious to know how normal that is for them.
According to Von Luschan’s Chromatic Scale, South Indians apparently generally have the same skin tones as Australian Aboriginals & most Sub-Saharan Africans.
This is an example of why I personally prefer the term “negro” over “black” because it’s more clear & accurate. Why call people who are yellow skinned “black?” Too bad it’s become politically incorrect.

These various tribes have imported not only their languages, but their religions and their manner of dress and living. They all have dark skins of varying shades. Only Europeans are white, Indians, Afghanis and everything in-between with Caucasian features are Caucasoid not white. Also even if Indians have light skin most are Australoid/Asiatic skull wise.

WDYM "Asiatic". Only the ones from the Northeast have remotely anything similar to Mongoloids, and to be fair they're heavily geographically isolated from the rest of the country.
