Default If someone cannot pass in his own ethnicity?

If someone cannot pass in his own ethnicity does it mean at least one person in his family is adopted from another ethnicity?

Not necessarily. I heard that some people begin to identify with their wife's or husband's ethnicity when they get married and it is called as assimilation. Another possibility might be the fact that some people can look very different from their own ethnicity.

I don’t think so. Maybe because of distant admixture. While not very common, dark complexioned individuals constitutes a noticeable minority where I live(South-West coast).

As an example is an actress from here who doesn’t have any recent foreign ancestry. It’s neither Roma or Sami. I think it’s just part of the variety, in every country You can find individuals that are atypical.
