I have a lot of sleep paralysis and see black shadow figures while it happens.
Psychology says it’s linked to depression and anxiety which I do suffer from occasionally.
Back when I researched about it, I came across Astral Projection. I won’t go into detail but it’s a pretty interesting topic.

When I was younger I used to get this a lot too, almost on a daily basis.

I had experiences like that too since i suffered from sleep paralysis quite a lot as a kid, damn creepy. I didn't see any figures but while trying to get rid of that sleep paralysis i felt the presence of evil. I usually just pray and try to break that stuff with my will power.

Sleep paralysis seems to be linked to sleep deprivation or apnea quite often. But these experiences feel very "spiritual" indeed. And yeah, there are links to Astral Projection too, but that's another story.
