How do you explain these things to yourself?

Always from a religious point of view. A couple times I also saw beings made out of fire so I've always thought of them as jinns. It's crazy I was young but I remember every detail.

Do you protect yourself somehow? Has praying helped you not to experience these things? If not, would you give room to more physiological explanations? I'm not saying however that these things (physical and spiritual explanations) are mutually exclusive.
