I don't think so because there is a large panel of looks among us some NAs are quite dark while some are very light in terms of pigmentation despite being mostly caucasoid (you can find such big variations inside the same family)

Yes, in those places the media probably tend to select in castings pred euro mestizos instead of assimilated amerindians and indomestizos, who really are the bulk of the population.
