Many are trying to prove that the ideology of Marxism-Leninism has nothing to do with religion.
And even the external attributes are largely the same.

Holy Trinity = Marx, Engels, Lenin.

Heaven = communism.

Hell = capitalism and the decaying West.

Holy Relics = Lenin in the Mausoleum.

Bible = "Capital".

The Commandments of Moses = "The Moral Code of the Builder of Communism (Christian-based in fact)."

Processions of the Cross with banners and chants = demonstrations of workers with portraits of Politburo members accompanied by music and loud slogans.

Church services = solemn party meetings.

Church Anathema = expulsion from the party.

Heretics and apostates = Trotsky, Stalin.

Ecumenical Council = Congress of the CPSU.

Etc.

The value foundation of the USSR was formed (very bizarrely), not all at once and not out of nowhere. To implement the ancient Masonic dream of "creating a new man, free from..." well, from everything - from the family, from the Motherland, from God wasn't possible in the USSR, and therefore it is impossible to reduce everything to a Marxist project.
In the real USSR, some of the Soviet values were truly anti-Marxist and the authorities actively implemented this in their practice.
An example is the Marxist thesis about the destruction of the family, open the Manifesto:
Spoiler!

I hope everything is clear, now we go to the Soviet document - the Moral Code of the Builder of Communism. This is an official document adopted by the XXII Congress of the CPSU. We open it and read - what is there about the destruction of the family and the suppression of the exploitation of children?
8. Mutual respect in the family and care for raising children.
That is, the Soviet document Moral Code is (at least in this matter) the antithesis of Marx and has nothing in common with it.
I propose to divide the values of the Soviet period into two groups:
- values of Marxism-Leninism,
- values of Russian culture.
