Not true. All the black and hispanic gangs on the East Coast are basically just patsies of the Italian, Irish, and Russian Mafias. It just came out last year that Michael Cecchetelli guy was not only part of an Italian Mafia family, but also headed the Latin Kings all along the East Coast.

Irish Mafia in America is no more (however they do exist in Ireland, Hutch and Kinahan families for example). Most mobs disappear by the third generation. No need for "justice" once the community is established and integrated. Although it was the Irish who initiated ghetto culture in NYC, Boston, Baltimore and Chicago in the 1800s. Italian Mafia and ethnic street gangs patterned themselves after their Irish predecessors.

Russian Mafia controls half the real estate in Manhattan and most of the non-black boroughs in NYC, but they have to compete for everything with the Armenians, Chechens and other ex-USSR criminals. They don't have the numbers.

The drug smugglers of Mexico really do think of themselves as good Catholics and really do think Santa Muerte will protect them from prosecution. Protestant culture of the US and Canada doesn't allow for things like worshipping death and crime saints.
