Pontic type is a Black Sea type and the native populations on the Black Sea shores are Russkies, Tatars, Balkanites, Caucasus peoples and Turks, that's quite heterogeneous, in genes, ancestry, looks, culture and language families. is this European? maybe marginally, but mostly it is not, not in the Western European range.

If you mean Caucasoid; yes, Pontid is a subtype of Mediterranid and Mediterranid is one of the Caucasoid types.

This is silly there’s no such thing as “European looking” first of all. Phenotypes overlap from continent to continent. Pontid is found in Asia and Europe, so I guess you can consider it Eurasian kinda like Armenoid or Alpinid. The only way I guess you can consider a phenotype as fully “European looking” is if it can only be found in Europe, for example Norid or Brunn. So the whole “European look” theory is pointless.

There is however a classification called Caucasoid, which includes all the types found in Europe and Asia.

It is found among native population of (Eastern) Europe, so why should it not be considered as a European phenotype?

But again, it depends on what we consider to be Europe, because "Europe" is social construct and changed its meaning many times throught the history.

Lol. Of course it is. There is a lot of people in Eastern/Southeastern Europe who have 100℅ European ancestry and are Pontids. Phenotypes are not good indicators of ancestry. Lol at this comparison with Western Europe, with every new day spent here I am more and more sure that shitload of people from Eastern/Southeastern Europe have inferiority complex toward Western and Northern Europe, I honestly thought that's just myth/exaggerating but it seems it's true, unfortunately.
