Turkey is still much more a religious country than any country in Europe, Atheism is only spread among the youth. Are you suggesting that Erdoğan is an atheist himself?

It's true he is a populist who uses religion as a weapon. It's true he is ridiculing muslims, and using them as cattle; however, this is how Islamists generally act anyway. He is an islamist and enacted real islamist policies which are harmful to Turkey, above all he is anti-democratic because he believes he is on a holy mission, therefore cannot be criticized.

I, as an Atheist, view Balkan muslims as Turkey's extension, and would always defend their rights. I think this is also how most people think, regardless of religious beliefs; but, what do you want us to do? Conquer Balkans and remove the Christians there? That's not going to happen, and we won't allow other Balkan Christians to remove you as well. Accept the status quo and try to resolve your differences with your christian neighbours, if they refuse they are to be blamed only.

Turkey has removed Grand Mufti of Istanbul and created "Ministry of Religion" (something like that)

Why haven't Greeks dismantled Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople?
