Which ethnicities have you been confused for?

in real life:

been told a few times that I am Gypsy (by Romanians and Italians) and several times have been asked if I have Gypsy ancestry. I don't have and I don't score Indian DNA so it may be from the fact that from time to time I sport a dark mustache and people aren't used to mustaches, only to beards, they probably find mustaches awkward. in Romania a black mustache is associated with Gypsies.

been guessed as French, German and American on various occasions in Italy.

been asked if I were Irish by a Turk in Brussels.

been told many times that I look Bessarabian, including by Bessarabians. but on the internet they say I don't at all (too Western looking, been told).

funnily once a Romanian thought I was Albanian in Italy.

a Kyrgyz girl told me I look more like Turks than like Russians - I had asked it exactly like this, if to her eyes I look Turkish or Russian if she had to choose from these two only.

Pakistani, indian, maybe got confused as arab once(or iranian?) by a kurdish janitor and iranian(by an iranian girl)

The total spectrum for me is quite broad though some things more often and others rather occasionaly only

Spanish or Portugese(fairly often),Italian,Dark Irish,Balkanian,Lebanese,Caucasian

In Greece alot of people guess me as Cretan as my particular place of origin

English Makes sense, given that West-Norwegians cluster quite close with people from UK. Back in the viking era some genetical exchanges were made. 20-25% of the population in Norway were slaves/thralls before Christianity came along. Mostly from UK I believe. These were assimilated.

did you see Romanians or other Easterners/Balkanites in Norway and do they ever pass as local, as in you thought they are local, then found out they're not? on an individual level I ask, of course not as a group.
