Catholict or Protestant? Which branch of Christianity has killed the most?

I hope that this thread is not taken as trolling I did not make this thread in order to attack Christianity but to evaluate which of the 2 great divisions of Christianity has killed the most in the name of God.

The Roman empire before converting to Christianity killed many Christians.
