Ofcourse it has, Catholic Church is biggest charitable organisation in the world. And, culture and architecture of catholicism can't compare with protestantism.
Just compare magnificent romanesque and gothic, later rennaisance Catholic churches with Protestant churches.

Of course, if the Catholic Church has its positive aspects, just as Protestants have its negative aspects, but the Catholic Church has historically been very tainted.
