What you see as Greek_Cypriot or Greek_Thessaly or whatever doesn't exactly represent the active ethnic population of these countries/areas.

While obviously I disagree, all the points you brought up are technically correct. It's basically a traditional homogenous country that's considered "white" that also isn't just some backwater rural farmland like Moldova or Belarus, a lot of WNs would like the place, especially those cringy American ones who praise eastern Europe for how based they are but wouldn't move there because of economic differences.
