That's exactly why others dislike you. It's called exceptionalism. On its own it's fine, you can believe any nonsense you want so long as you keep your circle-jerk to your backyard. People will just think you're weird. But for some fucked up reason you believe this 'me special' feeling gives you right to bomb the shit out of far away places. That's really won't get you far in terms of gaining worldwide support.

Germans had same thing going on sometime in the middle of 20th century and it didn't turned out too well for them. You're lucky you living across the pond from other big nations so it's really hard for them to drive their tanks into Washington.

As for the rest of the world it's developing in its natural course, just as it was doing for thousands of years before with all its ups and downs. It is America that is weird creature in human evolution.

What this means is that, although 'Americans do enjoy many features central to democratic governance,' 'majorities of the American public actually have little influence over the policies our government adopts.' Their study which published in Perspectives on Politics, found that 'When the preferences of economic elites and the stands of organized interest groups are controlled for, the preferences of the average American appear to have only a minuscule, near-zero, statistically non-significant impact upon public policy.'

I mean that conclusion is very easy to see by any person who uses their brains to think. How come it is the only Western society that has a dated two-party system and considers a constitution written over 200 years ago as some sort of infallible sacred text, while in all civilized countries the constitution was changed based on how societies modernized and reassessed their values system? The US state is the great seller of lies and I'm only pissed, because the potential, the know-how is huge for supporting global economic and societal reforms, especially when we are faced with an imminent global climate crisis.

Not all western political systems have the superior proportional representational system not even in Europe AFAIK. Of course some European countries do have proportional representation and that is obviously superior to America's two party tyranny system.

That is not exactly true there are two schools of thought in jurisprudence in regards to the constitution the living (changing ) document view and the strict (infallible unchangeable) constructionist view. The constitution has technically been modified at least a few times since it's inception and can be interpretated liberally using the former school of thought.

Despite that it was one of the first democratic experiences in history, you can't argue that these 'sacred texts' do work not so bad even today, especially. Current not the best place in freedom/democratic rates can be easily explained by those fact that US has to play super power state role and guarantee freedom and democracy for another countries, so it can be explained by recent complicated history and need to preserve some ,possibly, archaic institutions to maintain stability and position in the world. More "progessive" countries wouldn't be able to do it, and wouldn't exist at all.

Like a said, wars is still the main reasons for someone's hatred against America.
And what do you mean by 'developing in it's thousands years natural course', sacred autocratic monarchy?

Santa Monica back in the day used to be like paradise. Even the desert areas in so-cal have pretty good weather.

My great grandpa used to give these to me as a kid. I think the ones in the 90's were very similar but I think there was transparent color layer over the building.
