It's confirmed: I am a direct lineage descendant of Árpád, Grand Prince of the Magyars!

I was working incredibly much lately on my family tree, and finally managed to find exactly that one lineage that connects me with the Árpád Dynasty, thus proving what most Hungarians cannot (to my knowledge), specifically that I am a direct descendant of Árpád himself!!! Just some details how I arrived here: astonishingly this line I inherited through my mother, and not from any of her Hungarian ancestors, but specifically from her pure Danube Swabian grandmother. One of her long distant ancestors, Poppo II, Margrave of Carniola, was the son of Zsófia, daughter to Béla I of Hungary! Family tree research is incredibly rewarding and for moments of accomplishment like these it is worth all the dozens and hundreds of hours I invested in.

I explained in my original post, but I will be more explicit. One of my Danube Swabian great grandmother's origins goes back to Western Holy Roman Empire into the mid 18th century, and by very careful research, since I found most of the names, years and birthplaces of these ancestors, I managed with the help of the internet (there are many amazing genealogy sites) to trace back more and more of their (and my) ancestors, and I gut lucky with one specific line, which I also mentioned, Poppo II https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poppo_...ve_of_Carniola, and from there you can easily go back straight to Árpád if you follow his parents. Among my ancestors are also basically all the early German, French, English, Italian monarchs, as I can trace back to them name by name.

I think you fail the main idea of my OP. It's not just a guess, a hypothesis, as with most living Europeans, but I arrived to this knowledge based on careful, critical analysis of historical records, documents that in the internet era are there for everyone to be discovered and interpreted. I do actually have all the names, most of the years and birth places, titles (if they had one) of the people that direct me to Árpád himself on one specific line.

Honestly, for a long time I was kinda resigned about the possibility to ever manage to find any common ancestors with the Árpád Dynasty, or even just with Renaissance era Hungarians, since the earliest I could dig among my Hungarian part of the family tree is the late 18th century. But luck was really with me today, as I managed to connect with this legendary dynasty through my German lineage (deep down I always secretly hoped that one of these days there will be just that one guy or woman who intermarried with the Old Magyars, and voila).
