In Northern Europe ... swan wins. I have evidenced that few times back at home. I like both but feel sad behalf of crane (which arrives first at spring time).

And I'm talking now about Cygnus cygnus

    ... not even Cygnus olor

... of course if we are talking about rare Cygnus columbianus
then it would be more interesting .... but even then I would say swan wins (being more aggressive bird).

    Not even close buddy.

These birds have very different artistic expressions. This is crane's expression

I still say swan will win against crane (most of times) ... what I have seen.

But life/nature is interesting place. There is rarely pure 100% rules. Here're photos where crane actually attacked agains swan.

I assume crane had already bird nest and swan was single bird...

If neither has not yet created nest ... those birds don't care each others too much.

That crane reminds me of a Finn defending his territory.
