Default "Excluding Afro-Colombians, Mexicans have more 'extreme' phenotypes than Colombians". Discuss.

Let me explain what I mean by this. When specifically looking at Whites and Mestizos from both countries, my experience on the one hand is that Mexican Mestizos on average tend to be darker and more Amerindian-shifted than are Colombian Mestizos, but on the other hand White Mexicans seem to have a slightly higher proportion of people with light hair and eyes than do White Colombians. Do others agree with these observations?

I guess you are right, but my opinion is not fully valid because I haven't been in Colombia

And I have never been to Mexico, but I've seen plenty of Mexicans both in real life and on TV/Internet. From your experience, do most (non-Black) Colombians pass well in Mexico, or is there something foreign that often sticks out?

In my experience with both Venezuela that can be similar to Colombia and Mexico I think I have to agree, people who are white here can be really light and in Venezuela happens as well but in different measures, but it's all relative, I am mestizo and in my school I was one of the lightest .

Yes, I met a girl from bogota, she seemed to be castiza and blended in perfectly

Among the mestzio I think Colombia has a lower share of indo-mestizo than Mexico. Colombian mestizos tend to be more homogenous than the Mexican ones. Although among white population among both I don't think their is a diffrence. I think percentage wise Mexicans recieved more immigrants not from Spain but not by much anyways.

But I definitely think that some Indo-Mestizos from Mexico do look odd for Colombia (and Venezuela). Here are a couple of examples:

They can pass very well her, mestizos and whites (without black features) still the colombian trirraciales can pass as afro-mexicans too

Here the 90% of white mexicans are black/medium brown hair with light/medium/dark brown eyes xdd

Yeah I know, but still my impression is that White Mexicans have just a tad more light hair and eyes than do White Colombians, who by contrast overwhelmingly look like Alvaro Uribe, Rafael Novoa and both Juan Pablo Llanos (the actor and the footballer). Also, the odd thing is that while most Mestizo Colombians can pass well as Mexicans, the other way round with all due respect is less true, at least for Mexican Indo-Mestizos at any rate.
