    I said to Dušan that our ancestors from Krajina used term začinja for popara. Popara is in Serbia, and in Montenegro is popara or masenica (depends of region). Kačamak is also in Serbia and part of Montenegro, in the region from where are my ancestors is pura. But our pura was without cheese or any other milk product, only corn flour, water and salt.

    @Dušan
    Your Bukovica ancestors called kačamak pura or pula? I know that part of Bukovica say pura and part pula.

    It is called pura there, but in my home it is called neither pura or kačamak, but in Italian way - palenta.
    I dont know why is that, but from childhood knew for that name that my mother use.

    Nowadays I mostly call it kačamak, as it most known name for that meal in Serbia.

    I thought so. It seems pula is in western and southwestern part of Bukovica and Ravni Kotari. In the part of Bukovica closer to Knin is pura as in Knin Krajina, and Vrlika and Drniš areas as well. One Serb from Promina for example say his ancestors used term pura.
    In western and southern Bukovica plus Ravni Kotari Serbs for pasulj (beans) used term fažol, and in other parts of northern Dalmatia including my area gra.

    Jasmine growing outside my bedroom window. It gives off its scent strongest at night. It's one of my favorite things about summer...the window wide open and the breeze carrying the sweet aroma of jasmine in.

    Do you consider Sremska Mitrovica? Been there lots of times, got friends there
