I was up North last week. A few photos from Cape Reinga, the Northernmost accessible place in New Zealand. Cape Maria Van Diemen is also the westernmost place too but only accessible after a 5-hour walk.
I've fished a couple of remote spots off some tracks. A beautiful place and some big fish. But not a spot to make a mistake and end up in the water. There are no emergency services close by. The nearest at least 130kms away.

Cape Reinga. If zoomed in, you can see some white water on the lefthand side. That is the Pacific ocean meeting the Tasman sea.

The northernmost coast on New Zealand. Bar a couple of remote beaches, inaccessible to all.

Our friend, the Weta. Unhappy I disturbed his sleep whilst cleaning up the front garden. I relocated him to a safer place than a tree trunk in the middle of the day.

I was visiting a relative in the Western ranges overlooking Auckland today. The city center on the RH side.

You can almost see the humidity down at sea level.
