This little Bewick’s Wren has lived in the old gnarled birdhouse that hangs next to my front door for the past 5 years, at least I think it has been the same Wren for the past 5 years. They do have a lifespan of 8 years, and it's always been a little Bewick's Wren flying in and out all these years. I love her.

Almond trees usually bloom in winter. Last year they began to flower at the beginning of January, but this year they do so much later.







An old hermitage on the top of a hill.



Around that hermitage was one of the small medieval villages whose population ended up meeting in the town where my maternal family is from.

The village disappeared at the end of the 14th century and only the hermitage and the stone tombs of its inhabitants around it remained standing.

NATO bombings killed 1000 soldiers. I don´t know any dead civilian. Do you know figures about this?
