Most men, almost all men, would be more than happy for any average woman to pay some attention to them. The vast majority of women spend their lives trying to avoid average men paying attention to them.

idk I have pulled chicks way out of my league. I think average is more about personality for women. Women want someone who stands out in some way, women form their interest based on ideas. There are some chicks who are solely about looks for sure though, usually they tend to be more shallow in all regards, I have noticed my generation most those girls were like scene/emo girls. That subculture is very vain.

Well actually I’ve seen more narcissists with those who have low-self esteem. They’re easier for them to manipulate and control sadly. But both toxic personalities nonetheless.

But I’ve noticed those guys that date women solely for their looks are also the type to sleep around and are overall assholes (no personality themselves basically)

I attract broken people because I thought i was so grounded & stable to "fix" them but get screwed over in the process.

I'm the male equivalent of the church girl who falls in love with the biker "bad boy" and gets fcked over hard, b/c people (especially girls) take kindness for weakness.

Or whoever allows them to and doesn't recognise their behaviours. Many people we assume to have NPD are usually on the spectrum because there is huge overlap. So they may not have a subconscious motive but are literally clueless with empathising and social interactions. Many "incels" have this personality disorder, such as Elliot Rodger etc which doesn't allow them to be successful in the dating world because part of it is not taking rejection personally and improving on flaws so they seek revenge on the opposite sex instead.
It's not all bad. I think having some traits is a good thing, such as confidence and pride but the full blown disorder is often seen in abusers and sociopaths.
