I think East Germans are not that light except very north of east Germany like Pommerania.
Aren't east Germans from Saxony similar to Czechs/west Poles in pigmentation? (typical central Euro)

In my opinion Low Saxons are some of lightest Germans.

They are lighter than many parts of Westgermany imo, but i t really depends i guess. I thought people in Dresden/ Leipzig were more lighter compared to Berlin or Düsseldorf.

NW Germans cluster close to south Scandinavians, they are very pure Germanic.
Anyway, I was talking about phenotypes.

Irish nordid types are owerwhelmingly of Keltic variety.

Ah, I see. Well, I can confirm Germans in black forest region are probably darkest Germans along with Swiss Germans.
I lived there and they were quite dark, darker than Alsatians and Austrians from my experience. Dark brown hair is very common among adults.

In reality neither of these extremes (really Irish and hardcore West Slavic looks) doesn't account to more than 10% of Germans.
The majority look either Northwestern Germanic or pan-Central Euro. Of course, certain types shift southwards than that, so Germany also has its minorities of French, Iberian, Italian & Balkan looking people.

Agreed. The high dolicephaly in Brits is derived by Atlantid and Keltic, while Germany will still have a lot of individuals of Troender, Hallstatt etc. but there is a strong of Subnordid and other Centraleuro phenos.

You guys forget that your actors and all that names are american. American even by know their background cant be 100% pure of something. They all mixed you need to see real germans in germany and compere them to real Irish in ireland. But as I know some of them simmilar and some are not.
