In my maternal side nobody of my direct relatives have light eyes. It's usually second and third cousins that have them. My paternal side has more blue and green eyes though (two of my tíos and my abuela). My older brother was born with gray eyes but they eventually became hazel/honey I don't consider these "light" really.a

Sorry, but New Worlders seem awfully obsessed with trivial matters such as 'eye' color because they have no identity. For instance, Ireland and Estonia probably has more light eyes, on average , than England but what does that mean, exactly ? Seems incoherent to me to try to deduce or induce anything of significance from that.

Who is 'whiter' LULZ, number 1 with hazel eyes or number 2 this English byrd with Brown eyes ? You don't have to answer that question, its rhetorical, as I'm beginning think 'whiteness' is a mentally retarded concept

Because they are exotic to us.
I personally prefer light eyes on brown skinned or very tanned skinned. To me they looks better that way.
It also really depends on the individual of course. They will look nice if the person in question looks overall nice bwahaha. Also some eyes aren't that pretty. I've seen so many whites here with blue ugly ones.

Funny enough my abuela hated her eyes believe it or not (looked fully Euro). She died when I was a toddler.
No, they're not common in family. Just a few individuals have them here and there. My brother has hazel eyes though but leaning towards light brown. I don't consider that light eyes.
