Regarding bullfighting in Portugal, I have said already a few times before that I am against it. And before someone says that I am not entitled to interfere on what others like or enjoy...yes, that would be the case if this practice was not partially financed with my taxes, which it is. So I am more than entitled to be against it if I want to.
I will vote on the option "it should be banned" even though I do not believe that a banning law is really that necessary. It is a dying tradition from my perception that is going to likely end sooner or later because even the majority of people who enjoy it rarely attend bullfighting arenas.
Unlike Spain where it is practiced throughout most of the country, bullfighting in Portugal is equally a very old tradition but more regional, almost exclusive to Alentejo, Ribatejo and Lisbon metropolitan area. In my birth town there is no bullfighting tradition. I come from a large family and bullfights have never been a topic of conversation.
